Tall Fish Tale

I have been performing the “Tall Fish Tale” trick for over 30 years, based on the old “Clippo” principle. In George McAthy’s “Smart Business for Magicians and MC’s (Book Two”), published in 1946, he describes a “Fish Clippo” effect that does not have the same surprise ending as my “Tall Fish Tale”.

The “Altoid” Card

Effect: A card is selected and a corner of the card is torn off and signed, and given to the spectator to hold. The card with the missing corner vanishes and reappears in a previously shown empty mint container. The signed torn corner matches the tear in the chosen card.
